Police investigate shooting at Zap Zone in Farmington
FARMINGTON, Mich. โ Farmington police are investigating a shooting which happened at about 8:20 p.m. Wednesday at the Zap Zone location on Grand River Avenue. Investigators said officers were dispatched to Zap Zone after numerous 911 calls reporting gunfire with potentially three victims. Upon making entry into Zap Zone, officers were unable to locate any victims or evidence that anyone was hit by gunfire. โAlthough the investigation is ongoing, it is clear after reviewing the surveillance video at the business that the intended victim of the shooting was targeted. Detectives are continuing to work with the business reviewing additional surveillance video and collecting evidence,โ Farmington Public Safety Director Ted Warthman said.

DETROIT โ Witnesses reported two vehicles exchanging gunfire while speeding down I-96 about 10 p.m. Monday. One of them was struck by another vehicle on I-96 while trying to flee the scene of the crash on foot. The vehicles -- a Dodge Charger and a Dodge SUV -- eventually crashed along the westbound I-96 express lanes near Schaefer Highway. The third victim was in the other vehicle involved in the shooting. However, another vehicle, that was not involved in the shooting or crash, ended up fatally striking this person.

10-year-old critically injured in collision on Detroitโs west side
DETROIT โ Police said two people are in critical condition after a Detroit collision that involved children. According to authorities, the collision happened at about 3:45 p.m. Friday when a 58-year-old woman driving a Chevrolet down Grand River Avenue attempted to pass a vehicle on the right, where she read-ended a Ford Escape near Southfield Road. The driver of the Ford is expected to be OK, but the driver of the Chevrolet was critically injured. Police said the Ford had two young children inside -- a 5-month-old, who is expected to be OK, and a 10-year-old who is in critical condition. More: Detroit crime news
