Police said that as he waited, a man approached on foot, entered the victim’s Nissan Altima, produced a weapon and ordered the victim out of the vehicle. CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 52-year-old man is in critical condition after he was struck by a pickup truck as he was crossing the street near the intersection of Cottrell and Harper avenues, just east of I-94, Saturday. According to authorities, the collision happened just before 5:30 p.m. when the pickup truck turned from northbound Harper Avenue onto eastbound Cottrell Avenue, where the man was walking in the crosswalk. Police said the man struck his head and suffered a head injury. Police said the driver, a 53-year-old man from Clinton Township, immediately stopped and rendered aid.

DETROIT – A 16-year-old girl was killed Sunday night when she was shot during an argument. Police said it happened just before 8:30 p.m. on Beaconsfield Street, near Harper Avenue and Outer Drive. Police said the suspect exited the house and fired a shot into the home, striking the 16-year-old girl. She was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. A collision Saturday in St. Clair Shores put a pickup truck on top of a Ford Mustang. The crash happened on 13 Mile Road, near Harper Avenue. Police havent released many details, but the driver of the Mustang walked away from the crash with a cut on his arm.

DETROIT - A 23-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot near the Cabana Motel on Harper Avenue early Wednesday morning. According to authorities, the man was driving a gold Buick when a gunman approached, opened fire and took his car. Detroit police Chief James Craig said carjacking are down 28 percent in Detroit compared to 2018 and down 60 percent when compared to 2015. Police said the driver of a 2003 white Ford Explorer lost control of the vehicle in the area and struck a tree. The 58-year-old driver is being treated for his injuries and in critical condition.
