Two men were discovered hiding in separate Detroit garages after they forced their way into a pharmacy, stole thousands of dollars’ worth of medicine, and crashed at the end of a high-speed police chase, officials said.

A Detroit man has been charged with murdering his 34-year-old wife, who was found in the basement of their home, police said.

DETROIT – Fire crews battled a house fire on Detroit’s east side Friday morning. It happened at about 6 a.m. near the intersection of Somerset Avenue and Haverhill Street, just west of I-94. DETROIT - Firefighters are on the scene of a house explosion on Detroit's east side. Fire officials were called at 1:26 p.m. Tuesday to a house on the corner of Linville Avenue and Haverhill Street. DTE Energy officials said they found no evidence of a gas leak at the house. "Zero gas leaks were found on our equipment or within the surrounding area. One house was occupied by a woman and a dog, and the other was occupied by a woman and a baby, officials said.
