A man arrested during a bizarre series of events at a Troy hotel kicked the window of a police cruiser 29 times with his bare feet, shattering the glass, video shows.

During a bizarre call to a Troy hotel, officers said they learned about a slew of potential crimes committed by the people inside one of the rooms -- including kidnapping, drug use, mail theft, identity theft, lying several times to officers and kicking out the window of a police car.

Fire crews said a hazmat situation that prompted the evacuation of everyone 300 feet around a Southfield hotel Wednesday was caused by fumes from a box of hair dye.

The area was reopened just before 2 p.m. Wednesday when authorities said the caustic chemical smell was revealed to be hair dye.

TROY, Mich. – Police are looking for two suspects believed to have fired shots into a Troy hotel room early Saturday morning. Troy police say that at about 4 a.m. Saturday, five shots were fired through a sliding glass door and into a hotel room at the Hawthorn Suites. At that time, there were four teenagers from Roseville and Detroit celebrating a sweet 16 birthday party inside the room, police said. Police say two suspects were seen running from the scene of the shooting. They are described as Black males between the ages of 18 and 22 years old with medium heights and medium builds.
