A man and woman from Detroit are accused of murdering a woman they knew and leaving her body in the woods, officials said.

A 53-year-old man was found fatally shot in the 19000 block of Helen Street in Detroit, according to police.

Police said a 3-year-old boy is listed in critical condition after he was found inside a family pool in Detroit.

DETROIT – It only took first responders six minutes from the time the fire broke out to make it to the home on Detroit’s east side engulfed in flames. “Units entered, we suppressed the fire and unfortunately we lost two children,” said Detroit Fire Commissioner Eric Jones. This is Christmas,” Jones said. When I got the call, I literally could not believe it.”Three other children escaped the home with several injuries. Local 4 learned that the mother had to jump from the second story with one child to make it out alive.

Dylan and Demarion were home with their mother and three other siblings when flames broke out around 8:46 a.m. Christmas morning. DETROIT Police are questioning two men about a house fire early Wednesday morning on Detroits east side. Neighbors were startled out of their sleep to the sounds of a house explosion. Police say the suspects were arrested on unrelated warrants but theyre still being questioned. Neighbors claim to have heard gunshots before the explosion and saw a person fleeing the scene after the explosion. Police said the next step is identifying the bodies and finding out how they died before they can potentially press charges on the men taken into custody.
