DETROIT A man wanted in connection with a fatal hit-and-run in Detroit has been found and arrested after nearly a year in hiding. On July 28, 2019, 31-year-old Herman Walters was riding a motorcycle when a high-speed driver slammed into him on the southbound Southfield Service Drive near Schoolcraft Street. Walters, also known as Rocky, died at the hospital following the incident. Marshals have been searching for the man after he fled the scene and went into hiding following the crash.

Daniel Cook (WDIV)He (Cook) was doing 90 some miles an hour on that service drive, and when he impacted my son he was doing 83 miles an hour. He threw my boy 150 feet, dragged him, hit him on the car at 150 feet, said Juliana Baughman, Walters mother. If he was hurt, they wouldve told me my son was hurt. Officials said he has a very noticeable bald spot on his chin. Cook is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds.
