A motorcyclist was killed when a woman rear-ended them at a high rate of speed early Sunday morning, officials say. Michigan State Police say at about 3:30 a.m. a woman was traveling north on I-75 near Lahring Road at a high rate of speed when she rear-ended the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was killed from the impact of the crash, officials said. The woman who struck the motorcyclist was arrested for operating her vehicle while intoxicated. Northbound lanes of I-75 and two southbound lanes were closed on Sunday following the crash.

The man is accused of posting the following: “Downtown Holly and every kid I went to high school with is aboutta (sic) meet their fate real quick startin (sic) with the fews.”Police said the man had become depressed after a recent breakup and his mood and demeanor had drastically changed. Holly police officers arrested the man at his Holly Township home on Friday afternoon and he is being lodged in the Oakland County jail. He has been charged with one count of malicious use of telecommunications services, a 6-month misdemeanor. His arraignment is scheduled for Saturday.
