Husam Thamin Abed, 54, of Sterling Heights, has been convicted of the unauthorized practice of a health profession, a felony punishable by up to four years in prison and/or a $5,000 fine.

A doctor from Sterling Heights who had his license suspended on accusations of performing inappropriate vaginal treatments on girls for conditions they didn’t have continued to practice after that suspension, authorities said.
