Woman killed in fight between son, parents in Huron Township
HURON TOWNSHIP, Mich. โ New information was released Friday regarding the wild chain of events that left a Huron Township mother dead from a stab wound. ORIGINAL STORY: Huron Township mother fatally stabbed in altercation between son, parentsPolice said the parents had some sort of altercation with their son inside a home on Judd Road when the mother was fatally wounded. โSomething you never expect and itโs completely disheartening,โ said Everette Robbins the Director of Public Safety with Huron Township Police. โThis is a mother, son and father. There was a victim, as well as a subject,โ Robbins said.

HURON TOWNSHIP, Mich. โ A Wayne County mother was killed Friday morning during a domestic altercation between two parents and their son. According to authorities, the incident happened at two homes near the intersection of Judd and Gentz roads, just west of I-275 between Sibley and Huron roads. Police said the son, 25, arrived at his parentโs home that morning and attacked both of them -- one inside the home and the other across the street in the neighborโs yard. This was a multi-weapon incident,โ said Everett Robbins with the Huron Township Police Department. โAt this point, weโre trying to sort out exactly where there injuries are.โBoth victims were taken to local hospitals.
MDOT to hold virtual public meeting on I-275 project in Wayne County
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will host a virtual meeting Monday regarding the upcoming I-275 construction project in Wayne County. Over the next three years MDOT will repair and rebuild 24 miles of the freeway between Will Carlton Road and Six Mile Road. The meeting with be held from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and can be viewed by clicking here. MDOT wants to hear from the public in regards to any concerns they may have regarding the project. Man found dead on shoulder of SB I-275 near Eureka Road
A man has been found dead Tuesday night on the shoulder of Interstate 275 near Eureka Road, police said. A vehicle was found in the area. Police are investigating the circumstance of the manโs death and whether the vehicle is related. The southbound side of I-275 was shut down Tuesday night near Eureka Road. Debris on I-275 southbound near 8 Mile Road causes flat tires on several vehicles
Several vehicles on Interstate 275 southbound near Eight Mile Road have flat tires due to wood debris on the road. Officials said only the right lane is open. As of 12:29 a.m. Tuesday, the debris was cleared, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation. You can watch the report in the video posted above. 3 men in custody after multi-vehicle crash in Romulus
ROMULUS, Mich. โ Three men are in custody after a multi-vehicle crash in Romulus. Michigan State Police were called to the area of I-275 and Eureka Road on the report of a three-vehicle hit-and-run crash. Police said a black Chrysler 300 crashed in the middle of Eureka Road, over I-275. A trooper at the scene approached the car, opened the rear passenger door and found a man with a loaded .233 pistol. A Romulus officer removed the front-seat passenger and located a loaded 9mm pistol in his waistband.
Car theft at Huron Township rail yard leaves 1 dead
HURON TOWNSHIP, Mich. โ A man was killed Thursday after several automobile thefts at a Wayne County rail yard. Police said several people tried to steal cars and one ended up in a nearby pond. At about 4 a.m., Huron Township police got a call about several people trying to steal cars from the CSX Rail Yard on Pennsylvania Road, between Huron River Drive and I-275. At some point, one of the drivers lost control and the vehicle ended up overturned in a pond on the properties. CSX Transportation said three of the stolen cars have been recovered and thanked officers from the Romulus and Huron Township police departments for their quick response.

Man killed in crash on I-275 near Ann Arbor Road
CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. โ All northbound lanes of I-275 were closed for hours Monday morning at Ford Road in Canton Township after a deadly crash. The northbound side of the interstate was closed for several hours but has since reopened to traffic. Michigan State Police said a preliminary investigation found that a semi truck was parked with its hazard lights activated on the right shoulder of the northbound side of I-275 near Ann Arbor Road. A car driven by a 37-year-old man, of Milford, drove off the roadway and struck the truck trailer. The semi truck driver was not injured.
Southbound I-275 reopens at M-5/I-96/I-696 after man struck, killed
A man was killed March 3, 2020 when he was struck by a vehicle along I-275 near M-5 in Oakland County. FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. โ Michigan State Police closed southbound I-275 at the M-5/I-96/I-696 interchange for a deadly crash investigation on Tuesday morning. State police said a man believed to be in his 50s was struck by another car, a Chrysler 300. State police originally said the man was outside of his vehicle because he was changing a tire. The driver of the Chrysler 300, a man believed to be in his 30s, was taken to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.
