Prosecutors have begun outlining their case against 15 Michigan Republicans who face forgery and other charges for serving as false electors for Donald Trump during the 2020 election.

In a letter this week, the head of the Michigan Bureau of Elections used his strongest language yet, telling the attorney for the group behind recount efforts across the state that recent disruptions will not be tolerated.

Thursday (May 26), five republican candidates were officially thrown off the ballot by the state board of canvassers. Those candidates include former Detroit Police Chief James Craig, Perry Johnson, Donna Brandenburg, Michael Markey, and Mike Brown.
