The Detroit Police Board of Commissioners has voted to deny the suspension of a sergeant in connection to the fatal shooting of a woman on Detroit’s west side last month.

Detroit police Chief James White announced Monday that he’d suspended two officers and one supervisor in connection with the police shooting and death of a 27-year-old woman last week.

Chief James White said two police officers and a supervisor should be suspended after their involvement in a fatal shooting of a woman with schizophrenia.
