The Slovenian team has found their way onto the steps of the ski jumping podium more times than favorites Germany and Norway. They looked for their fourth Olympic medal in the men’s team event and concluded the ski jumping program at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Marius Lindvik took the top spot on the podium in the men’s large hill individual competition for Norway's first gold medal in the discipline since 1964.
Norway’s Marius Lindvik was joined by compatriot Halvor Egner Granerud to earn the top two finishes in the men’s large hill qualifying competition on Friday. Lindvik soared to a jump distance of 135.0m and scored 136.4 points. Granerud took second jumping to 133.5m with 131.6 points.
The 1st and final round in the men’s individual normal hill competition kicked off after ski jumpers qualified for the event yesterday. American ski jumpers chased down icons like Germany's Karl Geiger and Japanese star Ryoyu Kobayashi who placed fourth in the qualification round.
Norway toped the men’s individual normal hill qualification round with Marius Lindvik and Robert Johansson. Ranking first place in the World Cup 2021/2022 season, fan favorite Germany's Karl Greiger just made it inside the top ten finishers in the event.
