Movie Reviewer Greg Russell highlights some of the movies and shows coming to streaming services this weekend

This week’s new entertainment releases include a new album from the legendary group The Temptations, the latest addition to the animated “Ice Age” franchise and a new series on HBO by “Downton Abbey” creator Julian Fellowes called “The Gilded Age” and starring Carrie Coon, Morgan Spector, Cynthia Nixon and Christine Baranski.

Here’s a collection curated by The Associated Press’ entertainment journalists of what’s arriving on TV, streaming services and music platforms this week. One nominee, “Judas and the Black Messiah," arrives on HBO Max (as well as in theaters) on Friday. Ad— Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo's last writing partnership turned out pretty well. Ad— “Silence of the Lambs” is three decades in the rearview mirror, but only a year has passed as CBS’ “Clarice” picks up the story of FBI Agent Clarice Starling.

Movie reviewer Greg Russell shared his thoughts on two of this week’s recent releases, Netflix’s Hubie Halloween and Clouds on Disney+. Adam Sandler’s latest movie, Hubie Halloween, is set in Salem Massachusetts on Halloween night. Sandler’s character Hubie, the town nerd, has to save his community by solving a murder case. Lately, the American actor has been returning to his standup comedy roots, with a special on Netflix called "Never Don't Give Up" and a nationwide comedy tour.
