If the walls of Detroit’s Martin Luther King High School could talk, oh, some of the stories they would tell.

High school football players will get a chance to experience what it’s like to play like the pros as the Michigan High School Athletic Association is hosting finals at Ford Field in Detroit.

DETROIT – A legend in the Detroit high school football scene has died Saturday. James Reynolds spent decades as the head football coach at Martin Luther King School earning the title of winningest coach in PSL History. King High School is a well respected school throughout the state of Michigan. That’s how Former King High Football Player Vincent Charles describes Reynolds. It was that style of coaching that got him the title of the best football coach in PSL history.

DETROIT His name is Ridgeley Hudson Jr., and he just graduated from King High School in Detroit. After he received multiple scholarships worth more than $2 million from schools all across the country, we had to find out which school hell be attending. I never thought that Id be here at this moment with scholarships to the tune of $2.3 million, Hudson said. Wayne State, University of Arkansas Pine Bluff, Morehouse, Georgia State, Hampton University.He was motivated, and when he wasnt motivated, we motivated him, King High School counselor Denise Barnes said. While Hudson might be surprised at his accomplishment, King High School Principal Deborah Jenkins is not.
