A 16-year-old student at Lake Orion High School was arrested Tuesday after making a threat that many people were going to die in a shooting at the school.

A 16-year-old boy from the United Kingdom was arrested after he pretended to be the suspected Oxford High School shooter while calling in threats to several Oakland County schools, police said.

Officials are investigating after threats were made toward three Oakland County schools. The threats have been deemed not credible, according to investigators.

Security devices that were installed at Oxford High School just a few years ago may have prevented the shooter from taking even more lives.

A junior at Lake Orion High School has been arrested for threatening to shoot up the school one day after the deadly shooting at Oxford High School, police said.

Olivia Long is being mourned by Michigan State University Athletics as well as Lake Orion High School where she was a star volleyball player in an elite program.
