An 8-year-old has died after drowning in a Lapeer County pond.

A mother and daughter were seriously injured over the weekend when a suspected drunken driver crashed into the back of their car with a Hummer while they were stopped at a traffic light in Lapeer County, officials said.

A 2-year-old boy was found after he wandered away from home on Memorial Day in Lapeer County.

One man was killed and another was injured when the driver of a pickup truck went off the roadway in Lapeer County, overcorrected and crashed into a tree, officials said.

LAPEER, Mich. There have been multiple breaking and entering incidents at Luzis Lapeer Mini Storage on Davison Road that started the last few weeks of May and continued into June, according to the the Lapeer County Sheriffs Office. Multiple storage units at the business have been broken into, according to officials who say locks securing the individual storage units were cut to gain access.
