According to authorities, the bodies of two men were found in a bedroom in a home on Lauder Street, near the intersection of Hubbell and Fenkell avenues. The Detroit Fire Department said several space heaters were found in the home and they believe the propane and kerosene heaters were being misused. The shooting happened at a home in the 14300 block of Lauder Street in Detroit at 1:30 a.m.Police said a woman in her 30โฒs was shot in the neck and pronounced dead on the scene. A 27-year-old man was shot in the leg and is in stable condition. A 29-year-old woman who does not live at the home is in custody, police said. One weapon was found inside the home and another was found inside a vehicle parked outside, police said.

Lacey knew the woman because he had shoveled her snow in the past, officials said. When officers arrived, they found a bloody scene and transported the woman to a nearby hospital for treatment. Lacey was charged Saturday with carjacking, assault with intent to murder, unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle, receiving and concealing a stolen motor vehicle and third-degree fleeing and eluding police. A probable cause conference is scheduled for Feb. 19, and a preliminary examination is scheduled for Feb. 26.

Police said the woman told them she initially refused service, but the man did end up shoveling her snow. After the man shoveled the snow he assaulted her and stole her vehicle, a black Chrysler 200. Police responded to the scene and located the suspect and her vehicle. The woman was transported to a hospital where police said she is in stable condition.
