Jason’s recommendation is to turn off all the lights and stay away from the windows so people know you’re not participating.

Mimi agreed with Lauren and said courtesy could be upped in stores as well. Lauren talked about how easy it was to do something small, like a wave, when someone does something nice for you on the road. Giving the servers grace and just being kinder, in general, is something that goes a long way, said both Lauren and Mimi. Not only is important to say the right things, but to use the right tone, and acknowledge people with other non-verbal cues, like eye contact, or a nod.
