According to authorities, between 2:50 a.m. and 3:30 a.m., several Detroit businesses were broken into. Police said a gas station near the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Mt. Police described the suspects as four Black men who were driving a white Dodge Charger with two black racing stripes on it.

A 34-year-old man answered a knock at his front door around 1:15 a.m. Feb. 3 in the 2500 block of LeMay Street, according to authorities. When he opened the door, the person on the other side fired shots, fatally injuring him and his dog, officials said.
