Firefighters in Commerce Township and Walled Lake battled a two-alarm fire at condominiums on Addington Drive near Pontiac Trail, around 9 p.m. The American Red Cross helped several tenants of a Rochester Hills apartment on Galloway Court, near Butler Road Sunday. Fire crews reported they were called at about 5:30 a.m. No injuries were reported. Just hours later, firefighters battled a heavy fire at a home in Bloomfield Township, near Wing Lake Road.

Thats because there is a transmission phone line problem at the National Weather Services office in White Lake. Usually, the weather radio is the most reliable method, since cell networks have problems more frequently than the weather radio transmission source. In fact, I can only remember one other occasion during my long career here at Local 4 where the weather radio network was down during a storm event -- its highly reliable.
