The project includes resurfacing 3.3 miles of Gratiot Avenue (M-3) along with concrete curb and gutter, drainage improvements, upgrades to sidewalks with American with Disabilities Act (ADA) ramps, installation of new modernized traffic signals, signing replacements, and pavement markings.

The northbound and southbound Gratiot Avenue (M-3) ramps to westbound I-94 will be closed starting at 7 a.m. on July 26 as part of the M-3 rebuilding project.

Bridge work is set to close a portion of I-94 in Detroit for the weekend.

MDOT is pausing more than half of construction projects in Michigan to ease traffic for Labor Day weekend.

ROSEVILLE, Mich. – A 2-year project on Gratiot Avenue in Macomb County will begin Monday. According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, more than three miles of Gratiot Avenue in Roseville will be rebuilt. Construction will focus on the stretch between 11 Mile and Common roads in 2021 and is expected to work between Common and 14 Mile roads in 2022. On the northbound side, the left lane will be closed from Frazho to Common roads and on the southbound side, the left lane will be closed from Common to 11 Mile roads. DETROIT – A portion of I-94 will be closed in Detroit this weekend due to bridge work. Elliott Street overpass will close I-94 from Gratiot Avenue to I-75 in Detroit beginning Friday, Dec. 11. Entrance ramps to westbound I-94 between Conner Road and Chene Street will close at 7 p.m. on Dec. 11. Amid the closures, westbound I-94 traffic will be detoured to southbound Gratiot Avenue to westbound Gratiot Connector, then northbound I-75 back to westbound I-94. Eastbound I-94 traffic will be detoured to southbound I-75 to the eastbound Gratiot Connector, then eastbound Gratiot Avenue back to eastbound I-94.
