A Republican lawmaker from Illinois on Saturday night called the decision to overturn the landmark 1973 Supreme Court ruling in Roe v. Wade a “victory for white life” during a rally alongside ex-President Donald Trump.

FLINT, Mich. – With the presidential election less than a week away, candidates from both sides are focusing their campaigning efforts on a number of key states, including Michigan. On Wednesday Vice President Mike Pence stopped in Flint to deliver remarks to a crowd of several hundred people, who waited three hours or more to see him. During his speech, Pence focused his attention on the economy -- which some attendees say is part of the reason they support Pence’s and President Donald Trump’s reelection. Both Trump’s and Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s campaigns believe Michigan is up for grabs this November, and they’re pouring in both money and time by the bucketful. Both candidates and surrogates for their campaigns will be stopping in Michigan all throughout the next week, leading into Election Day on November 3.

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – This year’s Woodward Dream Cruise was cancelled due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Another event has popped up in its place -- the “MAGA Classic Car Cruise.” It was scheduled at the original date of the Dream Cruise. “Well, it’s not that we’re trying to take over the Dream Cruise and we understand why the Dream Cruise was shut down because of sponsorships and large gatherings,” said Rocky Raczkowski. Raczkowski, with the Oakland County Republican Party, said its their way to show support for local businesses and their part affiliation. “Support the local businesses, support police, fire and our EMT’s and also to support the administration,” Raczkowski said.

Aug. 6, 2020 -- Michigan coronavirus (COVID-19) cases up to 85,429; Death toll now at 6,247The “MAGA Classic Car Cruise” is a pro-Donald Trump event. The event is being held by the Oakland County Republican Party. “Right now people are so down, all we see on the news is 140,000 dead and we need this,” he said.
