The City of Ann Arbor received a $1.38 million MI Clean Water grant for projects to upgrade the city’s drinking water system.

As worries about lead in the water spreads across Metro Detroit, the race is on to remove hundreds of miles of dangerous and potentially poisonous pipeline.

On Tuesday, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced grants awarded under the umbrella of the MI Clean Water plan to help communities statewide strengthen drinking water infrastructure.
