Reigning X Games champion Alex Hall and two other Americans are poised to contend for the first Olympic medals in men's freeski big air.

USA's Nick Goepper, Alex Hall, Colby Stevenson and Mac Forehand finished a respective 22nd, eighth, fifth and second in men's freeski big air qualifying, with the latter three making the final.

Norway's Birk Ruud recorded the top two runs of the competition, while the Americans placed second, fifth, eighth and 22nd.
