A 27-year-old man from Cadillac has been arrested for possession of methamphetamine, resisting and obstructing police in Waterford County.

A Michigan man was arrested for sexually assaulting someone under the age of 13 at a campground in Wexford County between 2016 and 2017, according to Michigan State Police.

A state trooper met a complainant and victim at a residence in Manton. The victim had disclosed to her father that she had been sexually abused between January 2020 and August 2021. Investigations led to the arrest of 51-year-old Matthew James Judson of Manton, Michigan.

MANTON, Mich. – A Manton man was sentenced to prison recently for sexually assaulting two minors, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced Monday. Helsel pleaded guilty in July to one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, involving a person between the ages of 13 and 15, a felony carrying up to 15 years in prison. As part of this plea, four charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct were dismissed at sentencing. He also pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, multiple variables, carrying up to 15 years in prison at sentencing. A charge of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct was dropped at sentencing as part of this plea.
