(AP Photo/Paul Sancya, File)A worker at a General Motors plant in northeastern Indiana died after he was hit by a metal wall that toppled onto him when it was struck by a forklift, police said.
The Marion Police Department said Mark McKnight of Gas City died Wednesday morning at GM's stamping and sheet metal plant in Marion, WANE-TV reported.
The wall, which was not secured to the floor or a connecting wall beam, then fell over and McKnight was unable to avoid being struck by it, police said.
Marion is located about 60 miles (97 kilometers) northeast of Indianapolis.
