An 11-year-old girl was shot and killed on Detroit’s east side Saturday night as she was attending a sleepover.

At least two people were shot Saturday morning at a bowling alley in Westland.

According to police, the victim walked up to an older model truck and began talking to a man inside. The victim was about to sell the man inside the truck marijuana, according to police. As the victim was standing and talking, another man got out of the truck, took the marijuana and then shot him. The first suspect is described as a Black man in his 20s who was wearing all black. The second suspect is described as a Black man in his 20s who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, light colored pants and armed with a handgun.

ROSEVILLE, Mich. – A 17-year-old is in critical condition after being shot in the head at a home in Roseville on Saturday night. Neighbor Edward Roberts said his daughter ran inside their home, yelling that someone got shot. Police said one of the guns accidentally went off, shooting the 17-year-old in the head. Real big puddle of blood and then another thicker-colored blood and the gun was right behind his head,” Roberts said. You pull out your gun, you shoot, people die.”Police said the 20-year-old who shot the gun is in police custody.

DETROIT – A protest prompted by an officer involved shooting attracted large crowds in Detroit Friday. According to Detroit Police Chief James Craig, officers were looking for a person involved in a Fourth of July shooting that left five people hurt and three others dead. Video of the shooting shown at the press conference showed Littleton was armed with a 25 caliber blue steel semi automatic pistol. He also noted that a group was present at the scene of the shooting and threw rocks and bottles at officers. I commend Chief Craig for moving so quickly to release the video publicly,” said Duggan in the statement.

All Friday afternoon, social media posts popped up that claimed none of that happened, that Littleton was unarmed and killed by police execution style.

We are also very pleased that none of the officers involved in the incident were seriously injured nor did it result in a fatality among their ranks.
