Is the FBI looking at both?”Sawyer replied, “The FBI is involved and they are looking at criminal enterprise, yes.”Epstein was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell on Aug. 10 while he was awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking underage girls. “I think that the evidence points toward homicide rather than suicide,” Baden told Fox News reporters.

A famed pathologist who observed the autopsy of convicted sex offender and billionaire financier Jeffrey Epstein said Wednesday that his body showed signs of homicide despite an official ruling that he killed himself. Dr. Michael Baden, a former New York City medical examiner who is known for investigating high-profile deaths, appeared on Fox News to talk about the autopsy. He told Fox News that the findings of the autopsy were more consistent with homicidal strangulation than suicide. I think that the evidence points toward homicide rather than suicide, Baden told reporters. The guards went to sleep, Baden said, adding that Epstein was taken off suicide watch despite an apparent suicide attempt in late July.

Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Barbara Sampson said she stands "firmly" behind her findings in the August autopsy report, which ruled Epstein hanged himself and temporarily quelled much of the speculation surrounding the financier's death. Baden, who was New York City's chief medical examiner in the late 1970s, said he hasn't seen the type of neck bone injuries Epstein suffered in a suicide in 50 years of death investigations. "He's frustrated that after the medical examiner called it a suicide, that ended the investigation," Baden said. Epstein's death touched off outrage that such a high-profile prisoner could have gone unwatched.
