Tree Town businesses and restaurants will be open late during the annual event offering event discounts, specials, bonus gift cards, giveaways and free gifts.

Here’s a sneak peek at the deals being offered during Friday's Midnight Madness, Moonlight Madness and Festive Friday events.

Three holiday events planned for Friday, Dec. 3, will bring late-night shopping back to Tree Town.

ANN ARBOR – With no sign of the coronavirus pandemic slowing down in Michigan, business owners across the state are staring down a long and uncertain winter. According to Destination Ann Arbor, football weekends back in 2013 brought in more than $80 million from visitors alone for local hotels, restaurants and retail. A report in May by EntryPoint found that 97% of Ann Arbor businesses were impacted by the pandemic with 48% of those located in the downtown area. The downtown Ann Arbor store has taken numerous precautions to keep employees and customers safe. “If you pull Zingerman’s out of Ann Arbor, I’m not saying the town will fold up, but it will be a pretty impactful move.

ANN ARBOR - The biggest holiday night of year will take place on Dec. 6. Kerrytown's Kindlefest, Main Street's Midnight Madness and State Street's Moonlight Madness will welcome in the holiday season through the wee hours of the night. Moonlight MadnessWhen: 6 p.m. to MidnightState Street District also hosts its own event on the same night featuring specials from its businesses. State Street District will be updating the event's Facebook page with more participating retailers as the event approaches. Midnight MadnessWhen: 7:30 p.m. to midnightSimilar to Moonlight Madness, this is the Main Street Area Association's shopping-centered event of the evening.

Every year, Ann Arborites shop till they drop during the annual Midnight Madness. With most shops or restaurants along Main Street staying open until midnight, shoppers can indulge in a bit of late night madness while supporting our local Ann Arbor businesses.
