WATERFORD, Mich. โ€“ Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard had just gotten out of a meeting and was in a suit and tie driving down M-59 near Telegraph Road when he saw what looked like a police SUV. โ€œHe looks at me and says, โ€˜Who are you?โ€™ And I said, โ€˜Iโ€™m the sheriff. Bouchard said there was a fake radar mounted on the dashboard and what was supposed to look like a computer aided dispatch computer. The driver is currently in custody at the Oakland County Jail and charges are pending. โ€œWe want to know if anybody had been stopped by this vehicle,โ€ Bouchard said.

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. โ€“ A Bloomfield Hills man who used to be president of the Oakland Hills Caddie Scholarship Fund has been arrested for embezzling nearly $700,000 from the trust for his own personal use, according to officials. Oakland Hills officials requested a forensic audit, which revealed $697,000 had been embezzled and converted for Maassโ€™ personal use, police said. They have to serve search warrants on banks and serve document warrants,โ€ Bouchard said. Bouchard said Maass went to court assuming heโ€™d get released in time for the Super Bowl. Maass didnโ€™t make it to the Super Bowl.

"Lots of times, these videos are so blurry but, this one, it's very clear, " Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard said. Previous coverage:The peeping incidents are suspected to have begun in March in the Troy and Rochester Hills area. They escalated in July when police said the man in the video went into a Troy home and touched a woman. Police said he's connected to that incident and four other peeping incidents, and likely several more. PONTIAC, Mich. - We're seeing more fallout from the unprecedented 147 line-item vetoes Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer used on the budgets presented to her by the Republican-led Legislature. She used her line-item veto power and cut nearly $1 billion out of the budget. Her line-item vetoes included nixing $375 million for roads, which means it's back to the drawing board for Whitmer and the Legislature. The vetoes are part of a strategy to force the Legislature to wheel and deal on a roads fix, among other hot button funding issues.
