Director Mike Young talks ‘Stealing Jokes’

Hunter Cattoor scored a career-high 31 points and seventh-seeded Virginia Tech won the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament for the first time, beating Duke 82-67 to deny Mike Krzyzewski a league title in his final season.

Paolo Banchero had 23 points and second-ranked Duke shot 62% after halftime to beat Virginia Tech 76-65 in its Atlantic Coast Conference opener.

Adam, a new film from Mike Young, features actors Aaron Paul and Jeff Daniels, and it all takes place right here in Detroit. Young wrote the screenplay based off of Niskar’s journal entries. Young says he was drawn to the story by the notes of comedy that could be found in Niskar’s writing, even in the midst of tragedy. Young has worked in stand-up comedy for 20 years. Young hopes that the film can help bring the film incentive back to Detroit, which he says is an incredibly versatile filming location.
