Detroit police are looking for a suspect in connection to a triple shooting that left one person dead and two people injured at a gas station on the city’s west side.

BRANDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police have arrested a man suspected of breaking into and robbing several convenience stores around Oakland County. Officials said Nathan James Calhoun, 28, of Brandon Township, is accused of breaking into stores in Orion, Brandon and Independence townships. At 12:49 a.m. Sunday, Calhoun broke into the Indianwood Junction Party Stop at 20 North Baldwin Road in Orion Township, according to authorities. Deputies said they went to the Mobil gas station at 1152 South Ortonville Road in Brandon Township at 1:52 a.m. for a glass breaking alarm. Someone had broken into the gas station, but nobody was there, officials said.

MELVINDALE, Mich. – Police are investigating after a stolen truck with a snow plow on it was used to break into a Mobil gas station near Oakwood and Schaefer in Melvindale. Early Thursday morning at the Mobil gas station a couple men arrived in the truck. When that wasn’t enough, the two men put the vehicle in reverse and barreled through the front of the gas station. They almost hit the propane tank trying to smash into the gas station,” Mohamad Akhdar said. Akhdar runs the gas station.

DETROIT – A gunman killed a random person Monday at a Detroit gas station before turning the gun on himself, police said. The incident happened late Monday morning at the Mobil gas station at the corner of Fenkell Avenue and Greenfield Road on Detroit’s west side. “It doesn’t seem like these two people knew each other,” a Detroit police spokesperson said. “The person that was walking up was shot several times, and then the perpetrator turned the gun on himself,” the spokesperson said. That man is believed to be DeMarco Early, whose family says he was a nice person and didn’t deserve this fate.

ROYAL OAK, Mich. – Police said a 29-year-old man is in custody after carjacking a woman at a Mobil gas station in Royal Oak. Officers responded to a 911 call of a carjacking Thursday at 9:20 p.m. outside the gas station at 31001 Woodward Avenue. The caller reported that a man stole a red Honda CRV from a woman along with her cellphone at the gas station and fled the scene. The clerk said a man was inside the store who said he had been assaulted by an unknown subject. Officers responded and discovered man was the suspect from the carjacking incident.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A pole collapsed on a car after a crash Wednesday in Clinton Township, trapping an elderly couple. A witness said the couple was leaving the Mobil gas station at the intersection of 15 Mile and Garfield roads when they crashed into the power pole. Police said the crash knocked down power lines and started a fire. A bullhorn and drone were used to tell the couple to stay in the car until DTE could shut the power off. An officer on the scene said a woman who was a passenger “wasn’t doing very well” when she was taken away from the scene.

MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. – Police are searching for a man who stole the cash drawer from the register at a gas station in Madison Heights. UPDATE: Man chargedThe incident happened at 5:27 a.m. Wednesday inside the Mobil gas station at 404 West 11 Mile Road, according to officials. A 19-year-old gas station clerk told police a man armed with a knife had jumped over the counter and demanded money. The man took the cash drawer and fled on foot, police said. Madison Heights police are investigation.

REDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Police are searching for a woman and a man in connection with a cellphone theft in Redford Township. Officials said the woman in the photos above showed the man a phone and then hid it. The incident happened June 10 at the Mobil gas station at 25817 Five Mile Road in Redford Township.
