AdThe number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Michigan has risen to 610,580 as of Monday, including 15,783 deaths, state officials report. Michigan has reported more than 2.8 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered, as of Friday. According to Johns Hopkins University, more than 29.4 million cases have been reported in the U.S., with more than 534,900 deaths reported from the virus.

The Davison Freeway, which runs east-west between M-10 and Interstate 75, was the first urban freeway constructed in America. In 1914, the area was incorporated into a 2.9 square mile city called Highland Park, which exists within the boundaries of the City of Detroit. Because of heavy traffic, the Highland Park Council approved a proposal to replace the road with a six-lane freeway and construction began in 1941. For Detroit TV watchers, there were two big horror movie show hosts: Count Scary and The Ghoul. Count Scary appeared on WDIV from 1982 to the early 1990s as a vampire who loved B horror films. Count Scary would rank the scary level of each movie with a scale of pants, referring to scaring your pants off. Count Scary eventually appeared on other Detroit TV networks, including his final appearance in 1996 in a joint special with The Ghoul.
