A couple who were both in the same NICU together when they were born 28 years ago returned to the Dearborn hospital as newlyweds.

Born prematurely just days apart, Rachel and Hayden Sackey celebrated their recent marriage by revisiting Corewell Health Children‘s NICU, where their lifelong friendship began through their mothers’ shared journey.

It all began with a pair of moms brought together by the stress of both of their babies being in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit in Metro Detroit

Officials said some of the costumes were handmade by volunteers to ensure they fit the small ghosts, pumpkins and superheroes.

Twin nurses at a Georgia hospital are seeing double. Identical twins Tara Drinkard and Toni Howard work at the same hospital, Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center, in Georgia. But the sisters had never helped deliver a baby together until recently, when Rebecca Williams, pregnant with twins, needed a cesarean section delivery. "I saw her in the hallway and said, 'We're having a twin delivery,''' Drinkard told WXIA-TV . "It's a pretty cool experience having them in there and being able to ask them questions," dad Brannan Williams said of the twin nurses.

At Children's Mercy Hospital, 36 NICU nurses are all giving birth this year. "The parents would joke when they see so many pregnant people walking around, like, 'Do you have to be pregnant to work here?'"
