A $140 million project to reconstruct M-14/I-96 in Wayne County begins at the end of this month and drivers will have to navigate lane and ramp closures.

As part of the Michigan Department of Transportation’s (MDOT) bridge project, Edward Hines Drive will be closed between Newburgh and Wayne roads starting Monday, Feb. 24.

A stretch of Old M-14 (Ann Arbor Road) and a portion of Edward Hines Drive in Livonia will be closed for bridge work.

LIVONIA, Mich. A woman died in a crash on Newburgh Road Friday afternoon, police say. The woman was driving a Ford Edge and making a left turn at a traffic light in the area when her vehicle was broadsided by a Ford F-150 pickup truck.
