A Clarkston man was critically injured over the weekend when his motorcycle left the roadway and crashed in Oakland County, officials said.

A Detroit resident is accused of shooting a man and a woman after breaking into their home on the city’s east side, officials said.

A woman was killed Thursday in Southfield when a piece of scrap metal flew off a dislodged trailer and crashed through her windshield, police said.

DETROIT – Police have taken four people into custody on Wednesday afternoon following a barricaded gunman situation that occurred on Detroit’s east side. Detroit police say four people were inside a home with a barricaded gunman in the area of Wilshire Drive and Newport Street, near Outer Drive and Chalmers Street on Dec. 16. The situation has resolved as of 4:18 p.m. Wednesday, officials say. The four individuals inside the home have been taken into custody for questioning, police said. No additional details have been provided at this time.
