The original program that was a hit for Nickelodeon will be reimagined in partnership with Nickelodeon Animation Studio, Comedy Central said Wednesday. Ren, a psychologically challenged Chihuahua, and Stimpy, less intelligent than your average cat, were created by John Kricfalusi and debuted on Nickelodon in 1991. The Ren & Stimpy Show drew criticism from observers who deemed it unsuitable for children, citing its crass jokes and sexual innuendo. On Comedy Central, the show will join other adult-animation series including South Park and a revamped version of Beavis and Butt-Head, the channel said.

He added that "I don't think any of these sketch shows coming out are going to look the same or even, or even deliver the same kind of jokes. While the name "A Black Lady Sketch Show" does emphasize the historical significance of this series, it was almost called the somewhat less inclusive "The Black Lady's Sketch Show." "Sherman's Showcase" is currently airing on IFC and "A Black Lady Sketch Show" airs on HBO.

Dan Schneider shared a post on Instagram Tuesday in which he acknowledged speculation that the band may be getting back together. "Some Zoey 101 buzz got me talking with my good friend Sean Flynn ("Chase")... and within about 72 hours, this happened!," the caption on the group photo of the cast read. Everything else seems to be coming back these days so fingers crossed for "Zoey 101!"
