It’s always nice to watch a movie and realize the background or setting is based on the city you live in, that’s how Detroiters are going to feel as they watch No Sudden Move starring Brendan Fraser, Julia Fox, Don Cheadle, and 16-year old actor Noah Jupe.

This week’s new entertainment releases include documentaries about celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck and another on a landmark 1969 Harlem concert series known as “Black Woodstock” that featured Nina Simone, Stevie Wonder, Sly and the Family Stone.

John Krasinski’s “A Quiet Place Part II” finally opened in theaters Friday (May 28) after being delayed due to the COVID pandemic.

The Steven Soderbergh crime drama “No Sudden Move,” a film shot last year with safety protocols in the midst of the pandemic, will premiere as the centerpiece gala at the Tribeca Film Festival next month.
