According to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office on March 9 at 2:50 p.m. police were called to the couple’s home in the 19100 block of Omira Street in Detroit. Ad“This case came to our office on the same day as another child shooting case, as a result of unsafe storage of a weapon,” said Wayne County Prosecutor, Kym Worthy. Christian has been charged with one count of felon in possession of a firearm and two counts of felony firearm. Both will be held in 36th District Court in Detroit.

According to police, the incident took place at around 9 p.m. when the 20-year-old victim and another person were driving inside a 2011 White Ford Fusion north on Marseilles. While they were inside the vehicle two unknown men dressed in all black began firing shots at them and struck the White Ford Fusion. Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Police say the incident took place at around 6:30 p.m. in the 18900 block of Ashton in Detroit. The 46-year-old victim and Kareem Jerome McPherson were involved in a verbal altercation. During the altercation McPherson pulled out a weapon and fired shots, injuring the victim. McPherson is described as a Black male, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, and has a light brown complexion.
