Northville Township Police Department is accepting donations from the public for some items for cleanup and recovery from Hurricane Helene.

The most wonderful time of the year is also when so-called “porch pirates” strike most often.

Increased enforcement will continue throughout August to raise awareness to the law that makes it illegal to use a hand-held electronic device to text, make phone calls, watch videos and go on social media while driving, according to a press release.

The Northville Township Police Department has adopted the city’s first police support dog.

The “no trespassing” signs didn’t stop people from risking their lives to explore what’s left of the state psychiatric hospital in Northville Township, so the township installed more security in June.

April is Autism Awareness Month and one of the groups educating themselves on the subject is law enforcement.

NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual in connection to theft and property damage in Northville Township. Police released images of the person they said was spotted on camera in the area at the time of the incident. The property that was damaged is owned by the Northville Township Water and Sewer Department on Beck Road, police said. NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Northville Township police are seeking information related to the driver in a hit-and-run that resulted in the death of a 20-year-old man. According to police, Dominic Duhn, of Northville Township, was struck and killed at about 11:37 p.m. on Sept. 3 while skateboarding on Sheldon Road, south of Six Mile Road. On Nov. 30, 2019 the Northville Township Police Department had 11 reported larcenies from automobiles in the Northville Colony Estates neighborhood. All 11 vehicles were found unlocked and personal property was taken, including cell phones, credit cards and a shotgun. Northville Township police immediately began an extensive investigation, which led to the identification and arrests of two suspects including 21-year-old Marwin Lee Chambers of Pontiac and 22-year-old Ethan Edwin Thompson of Waterford Township. Chambers received a $5,000 bond and Thompson received a $10,000 bond.
