PORT HURON, Mich. – Two US Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations officers risked their own safety despite severe winter weather to help a driver whose car was engulfed in flames on M-25 near Lakeport on Tuesday, Feb. 16. While searching the officer found the driver in a nearby vehicle provided by a good samaritan to help escape the cold. TROY, Mich. – An incident of road rage got way out of hand Monday evening in Oakland County leading to police wrestling with one of the drivers. Police are seeing more road rage incidents with higher intensity including this particular one. Yesterday evening the driver of a Dodge Caliber called 911 to report being chased along I-75 by a Chevy Cruze. It initially started with one man getting out of his car and threatening to shoot the other driver. Even after a Troy squad car cut off the Chevy Cruze, the female driver still tried to get away.

DETROIT – Detroit police are searching for a man who shot at them Friday afternoon on the city’s east side. Police say they went to a home on Dresden Street for an assault call. They say a man got out of a car fired at them and ran off. Tonight they are searching for him and the driver of that car, a black Chrysler 300. No one was hurt during the incident.

On Sept. 19 just 28 days ago the Local 4 Defenders obtained a Canton police video of a traffic stop. After the stop, Caserta was on his YouTube channel raging against police taking money from citizens. Two FBI informants on the inside of the group sent agents encrypted messages they say were from Caserta. In the messages Caserta noted he found out who the officers were in the traffic stop, where they lived and that he could easily kill them. Sources say it was this traffic stop and the threats afterwards that led the FBI to swoop in and arrest the group.

DETROIT – Officers from the Detroit Police Department’s second precinct recently surprised two young sisters with new bikes. It all started when officers stopped by a business to purchase ice cream. While they were waiting in line the girls passed by and the officers offered to purchase them ice cream. That’s when the officers promised the sisters that they would work on buying them new bikes. The Detroit Police Department’s second precinct collaboratively worked together and fulfilled that promise.

DETROIT On Aug. 23, U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations Officers at the Fort Street Cargo Facility encountered a commercial truck operated by a Canadian citizen. After examining the truck, CBP officers discovered over 1,031 pounds of marijuana concealed in five wooden crates. CBP officers became suspicious and referred the shipment for additional inspection. The Port of Detroit is proud to have prevented the exploitation of our borders and the introduction of illicit drugs into our communities, said Detroit Port Director Devin Chamberlain. Since March, CBP Field Operations has seized over 5,500 pounds of marijuana at ports of entry across the state.

CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. A Chesterfield Township police officer was injured in a scuffle with an armed gunman Thursday morning, police say. On May 14 at 6:44 a.m. Chesterfield Township officers were dispatched to search for an unknown man wandering near homes in the Carriage Way Trailer Park. During the fight a Chesterfield Township officer suffered a significant injury to his knee. The officer was transported by ambulance to an area hospital where he was treated for the injury and released later that day. Devoy has been charged with the felony possession of methamphetamine, felony carrying concealed firearm, felony possession of analogues, felony assault and resisting a police officer causing injury.

PORT HURON, Mich. – Customs Border Protection officers inspecting commercial trucks departing the United States and destined for Canada overnight at the Blue Water Bridge discovered several pounds of narcotics located in the tractor cab of an outbound commercial carrier. The commercial carrier was hauling a shipment of flavoring syrup originating in California. During the inspection, over 80 pounds of suspected cocaine and fentanyl were discovered. Officers discovered several bricks of suspected cocaine and fentanyl. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Border Enforcement Security Task Force Port Huron is investigating.

Three people have been arrested and charged in connection with selling cocaine in Emmet County. The three suspects were in the home when the search warrant was executed. Police say 21-year-old Brett Eric Williams of Alanson was charged with delivery of cocaine and conspiracy to deliver cocaine. Adam Nicholas Albrecht, 22, of Alanson was charged with delivery of cocaine, conspiracy to deliver cocaine, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, and maintaining a drug house. Darren Andrew Robinson, 19, of Alanson was charged with delivery of cocaine and conspiracy to deliver cocaine.
