The National Weather Service in Gaylord posted video sent in by Tyra Berger in Mio, Michigan (about 30 miles east of Grayling), showing a dust devil whirling around near a McDonaldโs restaurant. A dust devil is defined as: A small, rapidly rotating wind that is made visible by the dust, dirt or debris it picks up. Also called a whirlwind, it develops best on clear, dry, hot afternoons.

According to the DNR, Joseph Dykes, 33, pleaded guilty to unlawfully using (borrowing or loaning) a hunting license, baiting, and taking deer without a license. Joseph's father Richard Raymond Dykes, 59, pleaded guilty to one count of unlawfully using a hunting license. He paid $450 in fines and costs, was placed on probation for six months and had his hunting privileges revoked during his probation.
