Three pedestrians were critically injured Saturday when a driver lost control of a vehicle on a Pontiac street and ran into them on the sidewalk.

PONTIAC, Mich. Police are looking for a woman wanted in connection to a fatal hit-and-run in Pontiac. Police said the driver exited the vehicle to check on the victim, but as a witness approached, she got into the vehicle and fled. Police described the driver as a Black woman believed to be driving a black or dark blue Ford Escape. Anyone with information on the car or driver involved is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak-Up. There is a $1,000 cash reward and you will remain anonymous.

PONTIAC, Mich. – A 46-year-old man from Pontiac was charged with homicide on Saturday after confessing to shooting his girlfriend on Friday. Police said Roderick Junior Washington called authorities on Friday and said that he killed his girlfriend. An autopsy revealed the victim, a woman from Pontiac, died from a gunshot wound to the head, officials said. Police say Roderick confessed to shooting his girlfriend twice after a brief altercation in her vehicle. Police say Washington has prior convictions for possession of a controlled substance, malicious destruction of property over $1,000, receiving and concealing stolen property and breaking and entering.

PONTIAC, Mich. – Police are investigating a double shooting that happened Sunday and claimed the life of a young man. Officers spoke to a second victim who was at the hospital. The first victim, a 23-year-old Pontiac resident, was unresponsive as he was rushed into the emergency room. The second victim told deputies that he had driven them both to the hospital. They include a 28-year-old Pontiac resident and 24-year-old Pontiac resident.
