An investigation evaluating the efficacy of the Oxford High School’s current threat assessment and security protocols has found the plans to be “robust,” but also says there is room for improvement.

On Sunday morning Oxford High School’s school resource officer became aware of a threatening Snapchat, ‘come bring a gun to Oxford school.’

Oxford High School students are returning to class this Thursday amid much uncertainty. The Oxford School District started reaching out to parents this week with updated safety plans which are getting mixed reviews.

Even after five months since the tragic shooting, some students still don’t feel safe being back in the school. Parents of the students are pressuring the Oxford School District to change that.

Administrators said students will notice the changes in multiple ways.
