The city has posted this detour map so drivers are aware of what to expect. The closure will only affect a one-block stretch of road, but with Main Street being a major thoroughfare, the detours may slightly slow your commute. Access will be maintained for local businesses at all times during the construction work while pedestrians will also be detoured along the same route as vehicles. Westbound drivers will be detoured north on South Fourth Avenue, west on East William Street and then onto South Main Street, according to a notice on the city of Ann Arbor traffic website. Read full article: Howell man charged in connection with Pittsfield Township murder, shooting in YpsilantiANN ARBOR, Mich. – Roger Lee Pierce Jr., a 50-year-old man from Howell, was arraigned Saturday in connection with a Pittsfield Township homicide and a shooting in Ypsilanti. Police said they found the body of Marcus McMullan, a 39-year-old man from Ypsilanti, with a gunshot wound to the head. Police, joined by officers with the Detroit DEA office and Michigan State Police, took Pierce into custody on an arrest warrant for felonious assault. Police said during the interview with Pierce, additional search warrants led to charges being authorized for open murder and six other firearm related counts. Pierce was arraigned Saturday and is being held without bond.

Northwest-bound traffic will use Maiden Lane to access Broadway Street, Plymouth Road or Moore Street. At 9 a.m. the same day, East William Street between South Main Street and South Fourth Avenue will close for ten days for road work. Eastbound traffic on West William Street will be detoured to South Main Street, Packard Street, South Fourth Avenue and onto East William Street. Traffic coming in the opposite direction will do the reverse by detouring to South Fourth Avenue, Packard Street, South Main Street and then to West William Street.

Nevertheless, he is thankful for his customers who have supported Blue Front over the years, some of whom have traveled to the Ann Arbor store from Toledo and Grand Rapids. Police say the robbery happened between 11:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Thursday at the apartment located on Packard Street. At around 1:15 p.m. a resident discovered the front door of the apartment was damaged and forced open. Another resident was in the apartment sleeping at the time but did not report hearing or seeing anyone. The Ann Arbor Police Department is investigating the case.
