Police are investigating the death of an unidentified man after a motorcycle crash Sunday night.

DETROIT The City of Detroit and the Detroit Pistons announced the launch of an enhanced eight-week Pistons Neighbors Program beginning July 29 that will provide free programming for children and families at Adams Butzel Recreation Complex, Clark Park, Palmer Park, Pingree Park and Jayne Field/Lasky Recreation Center in Detroit. The five city parks will host safe and socially distanced programming for all ages. Funding for the programming is being provided by the William Davidson Foundation, Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation, and the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons Neighbors Program builds on the six-week program at Bennett and Rouge parks in the summer of 2019 and reaffirms the Detroit Pistons commitments to Detroits parks. Renovating courts is not where our commitment ends, its just the beginning, said Detroit Pistons Vice Chairman Arn Tellem.

DETROIT Palmer Park along Woodward Avenue in Detroit underwent extensive renovations just last year. The changes brought in lots of new people to the park, but they also brought trash. READ: Detroiters contribute to transformation of Palmer ParkThe playscape isnt even a year old yet. The group, Friends of Palmer Park said theyve been telling the city that they need more police officers at the park at night. They said the playground has become a party zone and at 10 p.m. the park closing time isnt being enforced.

DETROIT - Volunteers were busy at Palmer Park in Detroit on Saturday building new equipment and laying down mulch, which they say is a lot harder than it looks. The effort was a part of a partnership between the City of Detroit and groups including the People for Palmer Park and the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation. A coalition of volunteers got started on the transformation of Palmer Park early Saturday morning. The transformation at Palmer Park began with new tennis courts. Many of the families who volunteered Saturday will enjoy Palmer Park for years to come.
