DETROIT A Metro Detroit woman who said she has passed out while wearing masks in three different stores says businesses are hesitant to believe she cant medically tolerate face coverings. I am OK -- I just cant breathe with a mask on.Businesses must now block anyone who isnt wearing a mask, but that doesnt include those who cannot medically tolerate a face covering. You dont need a note from your doctor, said Kimberly C. Woolridge, of the Michigan Department of Civil Rights. But if you cant tolerate a mask, Woolridge said the business might want to offer accommodations that keep you outside. Or they can just let them in if it is an issue that they just cant medically tolerate it, Woolridge said.
