How many decades can the character Frasier Crane possibly survive on television? Kelsey Grammer is returning to the starring role of Dr. Crane in a revival of the hit 90s sitcom for the streaming service Paramount Plus. After “Cheers” ended, the spin-off, “Frasier,” took Dr. Crane back home to Seattle with a newly-formed family, including his brother Niles Crane and dad, Martin Crane. It’s unclear who from the original “Frasier” cast will be joining Grammer for the revival.

The “60 Minutes+” program will debut March 4 with three separate episodes, the network announced Wednesday. For “60 Minutes+,” CBS is repurposing a team put together last year for a similar program, “60 in 6,” on the ill-fated Quibi platform. AdWhile “60 in 6” had shorter stories than the TV version of “60 Minutes,” the Paramount version will go longer.

The new service will add shows from BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, other Paramount Pictures and ViacomCBS brands, in addition to what CBS All Access already offers. CBS was one of the first media companies to launch its own streaming service. Paramount Plus enters an increasingly crowded field. Disney last year launched its $7-a-month Disney Plus service.
