First responders battled a fire at a party supply company in Novi.

Livonia police have identified a woman accused of slashing a tire in the parking lot of a party store following a dispute at the business.

WATERFORD, Mich. Police are looking for a person who broke into the Lakeview Party Store, located on Cass Lake Road, at about 4 a.m. Aug. 14. According to authorities, the burglar -- wearing a baseball cap, blue hooded sweatshirt, sweat pants and dark shoes -- broke the glass door of the shop with a baseball bat. Police said he took cash from two registers before leaving through the broken door. Investigators are asking for the publics assistance in identifying the suspect. INKSTER, Mich. – An argument led to a man getting shot outside an Inkster liquor store Wednesday, police said. Police said the 33-year-old victim was walking into Leon’s Party Store on Inkster Road, just south of Avondale Street, before noon when a man walked up and started arguing with him. An innocent bystander with a concealed pistol license then walked up and the shooter ran away. Police said several people were detained in a different area of the city, and a weapon was retrieved.
