On Thursday, the state reported a total of 565,251 cases and 14,778 deaths. The state also reports “active cases,” which were listed at 68,700 on Thursday -- near the lowest it’s been since November. The crash happened early Wednesday morning at Northline and Telegraph roads. The girl was a passenger in a vehicle that was traveling westbound on Northline Road. Update Feb. 5: Man accused of driving drunk faces 9 felony charges in Taylor crash that killed 12-year-old girlThe vehicle was slowly crossing Telegraph Road when a car going southbound on Telegraph Road reportedly ran a red light and crashed into the vehicle, officials said. AdThe 12-year-old girl was given CPR at the scene and was transported to Beaumont Hospital in Taylor, where she was pronounced dead.
